The Warro Gas Project ("Warro") is located 200km north of Perth and 30km from the major Western Australian north-south gas pipeline (DBNG pipeline). It is one of the largest undeveloped gas projects in Western Australia, containing 4.4 - 11.6TCF of potential in place gas (Contingent and Prospective Resources). Whitebark has spent >$100 million on the Project, acquiring 3D seismic and drilling and stimulating 4 vertical wells between 2009 and 2016, to confirm the presence of a substantial gas reservoir.
To date, reservoir drawdown has been insufficient to demonstrate gas production potential. A technical review indicates that a fracced horizontal well and the use of a high-volume ESP may rapidly move the field to commercial production.
